The Science class meets every Tuesday & Thursday from 9:00am - 11:30am. The Social Studies class meets every Tuesday & Thursday from 12:00pm - 2:00pm. Wednesdays Skill-Building day meets from 9:00am - 2:00pm. Enrichment Clubs meet every Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday from 2:00pm - 3:00pm.
No. Lunch is not provided. Students should bring their lunch to class each day if they are staying for both morning and afternoon sessions.
Students are not required to wear uniforms. Students should wear appropriate school clothing that is clean, neat, and modest.
Yes, students may enroll at any time during the year provided there is space.
No. When you enroll in one of our classes, you pay for all curriculum, materials, and supplies needed to participate in the class. Parents are welcome to visit our Parent Resource Room weekly to borrow any additional items that may be helpful to support learning at home.
No. Any student may enroll in our classes regardless of skill level. We do not require students to take a standardized test for participation in our program. However, if a family wishes to have an approved FLDOE standardized test administered to their child for progress monitoring, our team will be happy to assist you with administering this assessment outside of our operating hours for a fee.
Students in 1st - 5th grades do not receive grades. Rather, each student will receive a quarterly Progress Report that shows their progress on a detailed "Checklist of Skills." Students in our Leadership Academy (grades 6th - 8th) will receive academic grades and a transcript.
We value individualized attention for each one of our enrolled students. Therefore, class size is limited to 12 students per teacher.
Yes, some of our teachers hold advanced degrees in education, and others are working towards completing their respective degrees.
No. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to offer extended care for students outside of class hours.
Yes. We accept students who formerly had an IEP at a previous school. However, please be advised that we cannot formally follow previously written plans. We believe that the instructional strategies used in our small groups are beneficial for all learners, and we would be happy to meet with parents to discuss ways we might accommodate your child's needs.
Yes. We are an approved Step Up Provider and can accept the following Scholarships: FES-UA, FTC, FES-EO, PEP, and New Worlds Scholarships. Families can make payments by using Direct Pay through your EMA Portal.
